Sabrina Roberts is the owner and founder of Hicaliber K9 Training LLC. She has been training dogs for over a decade. Her interest in dog training began in her early childhood. She was introduced to the dog training world as a toddler, raised in a household with working police canines. She was born with a passion for all animals, but it became evident around the age of ten that she had a natural ability to train and handle many animals ranging from horses to dogs. At the age of twelve she helped her first client; an adult male rottweiler with resource guarding and aggression issues. She volunteered her time working with dogs in order to gain more experience, and perfected her skills while working with rescue dogs. In 2015 she was offered a job as a dog trainer using the positive reinforcement method, which she did for over a year. She trained hundreds of young dogs and puppies during this time, but as she knew from previous experience, positive reinforcement did not solve most behavioral problems, and she was forced to turn away many potential clients whose dogs suffered from behavioral problems. In 2016 she was offered a position as a trainer working for a well known Bay Area dog training company that uses the balanced training method. She was finally able to help the clients she was forced to turn away previously, and over a course of a few years helped hundreds of dogs overcome fear, aggression, and numerous behavioral issues. During this time her childhood passion for working dogs was sparked yet again when she became involved with dog sports and personal protection dogs. Over time her own clientele began to grow and in 2019 she founded Hicaliber K9 Training LLC.
